Art off the Rock 2010 - Lot 15a

Louise Scott

Background and Influences

Louise gained a BA Hons Degree in printmaking at Cheltenham College of Art back in the 80’s. Since then she completed a Post Grad in Countryside Management at Bangor College to enable her to live and work in the countryside. In 1992 she went to Orkney to work and stayed there for 17 years after marrying an Orcadian and bringing up two daughters. She had the Inkstone Gallery in South Ronaldsay where she displayed her work and also sold her work at craft fairs and trade shows down south.
In 2009 she moved to the West end of Glasgow with her 2 daughters and continues to work at the Glasgow Print Studios.

Exhibitions and memberships
Louise has attended the Pittenweem Art Festival for the past 4 years and has work at galleries such as the Iona Gallery, Isle of Iona: The Blue Door Gallery, Pittenweem and Julian Jardine Gallery, Perth.

She is a member of Member of Mugdock Makkers and Glasgow Society of Women Artists.
